[ Phuss-Activity ] : Media & Community Cooking day by YOUVIT


It was a great experience when you can combine talkshow and cooking competition in one event. So did this event  that I attended at the end of November. Starting from friend information about this event I registered and joined the bandung popbela.com community, and was chosen to participate in “Media  &  Comunity Cooking day with youvit”. THE OPENING
The even begin with opening from our moderator Mita . First there was First, there was a welcome speech from the  Novotel Bandung as the venue for the event. Explained about the latest promos including for Christmas and New Year's events. And you know, the rate here is the best. Calm it must be quality and satisfying because Novotel Bandung is still under the auspices of the Accor management group which also oversees several 4-star hotels and up in Bandung. And first talkshow Begin,,lead by Rachel Olsen she is a nutrisionist specialist. This day, we talked about “Homade Cooking. Hmm, interesting. How do you often eat or cooking your food by yourself ? Me ? Of course everyday. Because simple, its economic can decrease your budget to buy lunch/dinner hehehe 🤣. Me <- are almost every office day bring my own food from home. Many reason why I bring my own food, one of them are I can combine and cooked as my own order and apetite.

But actually beside the economic side, eat a homemade cooking by yourself have some value or benefits than buy outside you food. Why ? Because when you cooking by yourself you can :
  • Can choose the ingredients, of course we pick the healhty and  maybe organic one. 
  • Can maintain the portion. More protein, or more vegetable ? Choose what you like !
  • Can choose the cooking method. Steam, blanched, baking, less oil and others as long as can minimaze the reduce of vitamins in cooking process. 
  • Can choose the seasonings as you like, of course in a healthy way. and others.

Fact is 🔎 with different cooking methods, vitamins that are still contained in it will also be far different. Example: roasted chicken has a 160 Kcal content much healthier than fried chicken has 360 Kcal content. Also broccoli, when fried the content of Vit.C is lost 60%. But if steamed is only lost 40%. This is just one example.

White rice should be reduced or replaced with cauliflower. In fact, white rice has little nutrients and can increase blood sugar.
And you know its better choose cauliflower instead of rice!
Cauliflower only contains 35 calories per gram, and contains 3 grams of fiber per 100 grams. After all goods information from the talkshow  that we get from 2 session before, its time for Coookiing !!!  Yep, and I am verry lucky to be choosen participate to join cooking competition. Of course our receipe that we cooked are verry healthy. 
The Ingredients
Recent I wrote above about explanation why we better choose cauliflower instead of carbohydrates and reduce (or replace?) White rice right ? So this cooking show and competition are all about CAULIFLOWER guys !
Do you ever hear Cauliflower fried rice maybe ? Or you know that cauliflower can subtitute rice ? Yes, yes, yes. The answer is yes !

Today we cooked “Cauliflower fried rice” or my team with Hani called it “Cauliflower Saranghae”. We add some improvisation to the original receipe from Chef. Hehe.. But its Jumuah Berkah guys ! Our team are first winner for this competition, yeayyy !!! 
So happy about this.
